Authorship Criteria
Kriteria Kepengarangan (Authorship Criteria)
1. General Provisions on Authorship
Open Global Scientific Journal (OGSJ) implements an authorship policy to ensure that every individual listed as an author has made a verifiable scientific contribution. Authorship reflects an intellectual contribution to the research and the preparation of the scholarly work; it is not based solely on academic rank, structural position, institutional affiliation, or administrative support. The determination of authorship must be conducted transparently and fairly, and must be agreed upon by all contributing parties. All authors are responsible for the integrity of the submitted and published article.
2. Authorship Requirements
Individuals listed as authors must meet all of the following criteria:
- Made a substantial contribution to the conception or design of the research, data collection, analysis, or interpretation of the research results.
- Participated in drafting the manuscript or critically revising its scientific content.
- Provided approval for the final version of the manuscript to be published.
- Agreed to take responsibility for the integrity of the work and to assist in addressing any questions regarding the accuracy or validity of any part of the research.
Individuals who provide only funding, research facilities, administrative assistance, language editing, or general supervision—without meeting the authorship criteria—are not automatically entitled to be listed as authors. Such contributions may be acknowledged in the "Acknowledgments" section, subject to the consent of the individuals concerned.
3. Contributions and Author Order
Each author is required to provide accurate information regarding their contributions. Open Global Scientific Journal (OGSJ) encourages the use of the Contributor Roles Taxonomy (CRediT), which includes roles such as conceptualization, methodology, investigation, data curation, formal analysis, writing (original draft), writing (review and editing), supervision, and funding acquisition. The order of authors is determined by the consensus of all authors based on their academic contributions. The journal does not determine author order based on academic degrees, job titles, seniority, or institutional standing.
4. Corresponding Author
The corresponding author is responsible for:
- Submitting the article via the OJS system.
- Ensuring that all authors have provided their consent for the manuscript submission.
- Communicating information regarding the review process, revisions, and editorial decisions to all authors.
- Ensuring the accuracy of author identities, affiliations, email addresses, and article metadata.
- Coordinating the resolution of any inquiries related to research integrity, both before and after publication.
The corresponding author is not the sole party responsible for the quality and integrity of the article; such responsibility lies with all authors, commensurate with their respective contributions.
5. Changes to Authorship
Requests to add or remove authors, or to change the order of authorship after an article has been submitted, must be submitted in writing to the editor, accompanied by a justifiable reason and the consent of all involved authors. Changes to authorship after an article has been published can only be processed through appropriate editorial procedures, which may include the issuance of a correction notice if necessary.
6. Prohibited Authorship Practices
Open Global Scientific Journal (OGSJ) does not tolerate the following practices:
- Gift or honorary authorship: including an individual as an author despite them not having made a scientific contribution that meets the established criteria.
- Ghost authorship: failing to include an individual as an author even though they meet the established criteria.
- Authorship manipulation: altering the author list in an unauthorized manner for specific purposes.
- The use of inaccurate author identities, affiliations, or contributions.
Alleged authorship misconduct will be addressed through a process of clarification and investigation, in accordance with the journal’s publication ethics policy and the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
